Mrs. Taaffe came in this morning so we could Lay down the evidence then she confessed.

Who: It was Mrs. Taaffe.

What:  She was dropping off some stuff then she came in Whetu stole our HDMI cable and ate our chocolates.

Where: At school Whetu MilkyWay.

When: Saturday 10th October.

Why: Because she needs an HDMI cable and likes MilkyWay.

How: She came in the door took the cable crabbed the chocolate cracked the window then ran.

Athletics

 On Tuesday for Athletics, I did shotput 800m 200m 100m 60m, and long jump

The most challenging thing was the 800m around the track because it was such a long way to go.

My favorite thing was the long jump because it was fun and challenging I jump better with a shorter run-up.

I showed Excellence and Courage to do the 800m. 

The easiest event was 60m.

I felt really nervous before 60m and 100m. 

My fingerprints

 

In Whetu we have been discovering who ate all our milky ways, for a task we have had to ink our fingerprints on a sheet. All fingerprints are unique, even identical twins have different prints. If you have a burn since the blister is just the skin with fluid inside of it, it will still be the same print.  When cuts heel it will be back to the same it was before.

Whetū Workshops Reflection





During Term 2 and 3 the Whetū students have had the opportunity to be involved in a range of different workshops.





The workshop that I have enjoyed participating in the most has been Science with chemicals





The new learning that I have learnt is how that if you put food coloring in a plate of milk and then put soup in it it will mix.





What I have most enjoyed about the workshops is because we got you to choose what we wanted to do.





I am interested in learning more about cooking and baking

This is my inquiry I made a poster for my (so what?) my question is should animals be kept in zoos I think animals should be kept in zoos because I watch Taronga Zoo because it represents the importance of zoos and how they help zoos gather animals courage to fly walk and climb.

This is my first rat I caught it on 1.7.2020 I got the trap with Nathan and Regans hunting and fishing vouchers that they gave me for my birthday.

The new learning activity that I have enjoyed the most this term is Art because it is really fun. I learn heaps of new stuff every time. This term we did Tapa cloth art and I liked that we scrunched it up after I finished designing.

Something that has challenged me this term has been The maths mystery Because there were so many slides and it was really hard to figure out the questions.

The Whetu Challenge I enjoyed the most was the egg carton challenge because It turned out the best because I had a good plan. And it was really fun .

The opt-in workshop I enjoyed the most was the bean growing because I get to look after a bean and take it home when it is grown big.

An aim I have for my learning is to get to rock hero because it is the best on TT rockstars.

EGG CARTON CREATION This week for our Whetu Challenge we created something using egg cartons. I did not get my creation finished. I used three egg cartons. It was really hard to have time to glue it together and paint the whole thing. I gutted that I did not get to finish my crocodile. It turned out really cool even though it does not have teeth or eyes.

What has been my highlight this week

What was I nervous about this week coming back to school and seeing everybody

For dress-up day I dressed up as. hunter

The funniest thing has happened this week is when I was playing seeded Joseph fell on the ground and dirt went flying

I think the best-dressed person was the new teacher because he was dressed up as a girl and it was funny.

My tracker.

On Wednesday it was milk bottle creation day so I made a tracker with my milk bottle it was kind of hard and it took ages to dry. A tracker is a tunnel that has a bit of paper on the bottom and an ink pad on top then a rat, mouse, hedgehog, weasel, or stout will come in and walk on the ink pad and put footprints on the paper.

In lookdown, my dad gave me a slug gun, and then on May 14th I was trying to shoot birds and then I saw some on the ground in the paddock so I got my slug gun ready and then I shot one.
